Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra

Founded more than 30 years ago as a community orchestra, the
WCO grew steadily but suddenly had money problems, causing
abrupt cancellation of a season. It took a long time to recover
the organization's sense of well-being, then in 1998 its
long-time conductor David Lewis Crosby was felled by a heart
attack.
In early 2000, the WCO named a new music director, Andrew
Sewell. This provided a major lift for the organization, which
seems to be moving upward again, surely a good thing.
