Present Music is an ensemble based in Milwaukee specializing in very recent music. The music itself is often of very high quality, and with rare exceptions the performances are first-rate, as the core members of the group are real virtuosos.
The ensemble regularly plays in Madison as a run-up to their home-base programs. It does not get huge audiences, but certainly respectable ones considering the relatively smaller tolerance of average music-lovers for new music.
